Welcome to the Southampton (Old) Bowling Green Web site.
The Green is reputed to be the oldest bowling green in the world. It can, reasonably be claimed the Old Green has been used to play the game of bowls since prior to 1299

We are located in the old part of Southampton close to the QE2 Terminal, and the Town Quay, or green is in front of the current Red Funnel car Park, and beside the old Southampton city walls.

|
Friends we have made are always made welcome to visit our club, so if you are in Southampton please call in and see us any Friday Evening, as our club is open for club members, also at weekends during the summer.
We also welcome new members to the club either as a social Member or as a full bowling member, please contact us for more information.
Our bowling season starts at the end of April, and continues until the last weekend of September, then we start our winter social calendar, with various events which includes playing at various indoor bowling clubs, and participating in the Southampton & District Cribbage League.
